Menna is an Earthsoul Genasi who was born to an influencial family of traders from Deepspur in the Akanul region. His father is Sarruma, his mother Kheba. He was the youngest of three children: his eldest sister Arinna, and his elder brother, Hassir. All but Hassir are Earthsoul, Hassir being a Firesoul.
When Menna was a child (ten or so), his family was involved in a murder scandal. Several traders were murdered, the last being Menna’s mother Kheba. Menna’s father disappeared, and Menna’s sister Arinna was held accountable, and hanged by a vengeful mob.
Their family broken and shamed, noone came forth to take in the still young Menna and Hassir. They together decided to leave Akanul to seek a better life.
A year of travel later, Hassir fell in with a gang of bandits. Hassir urged Menna to join them, but Menna would take no part in this.
Menna eventually ended up taking up residence in a Dwarf community in the Gray Vale. Under the tutelage of the retired Dwarf Runepriest Ramses, he helped build the fledgling town to its current state. At this time, Menna also began to take great curiousity in Ramses’ craft, studying the divine language.
At the age of thirty, Menna felt very settled in his lifestyle. However his brother paid him an unexpected visit, hinting at the terrible things he has been up to these past years. Menna has decided to take up his weapon, and seek out his brother. Not knowing where to find him, Menna has made his way to Spellguard, where will ask the seer, Lady Saharel.
Menna’s primary goal is to find his brother Hassir, and put a stop to whatever wrongdoings he is involved in.
Menna’s other goal is to uncover out the mystery of the scandal that led to his family’s demise.
Menna’s brother Hassir is an oddity, a Firesoul in a family of Earthsouls. He is reckless, impulsive, and not above an immoral act or two. He recently appeared to Menna, showing a considerable power and speaking of “great and terrible things to come”.
Menna’s mentor, Ramses, is a retired Runepriest, and spiritual leader of the Dwarven community Menna calls home. Over the years of working together, Ramses came to instruct Menna in these same divine arts. Menna considers Ramses to be his closest, and probably only real friend in the Dwarven community.
Menna is a man of great patience. He tends to weigh his words and actions carefully.
Although he has lived with the Dwarves for the better part of his life, Menna still feels isolated from them, though he does his best not to appear this way. Most of the dwarves respect him, but they appreciate the subtle distance he keeps. Ramses seems to be the only exception, who looks upon Menna fondly.
Despite his even temperment, Menna holds a strong hatred for his father. He hopes to someday confront his father and make him pay for his crimes.
